WATCH RYAN’S STORY OF RECOVERY
New Creation alum Ryan Erickson was recognized and awarded the 2024 Goodwill Pathfinder Award during the Goodwill Industries of Tulsa’s Annual Awards Luncheon.
Before coming to the Mission, Ryan struggled with substance abuse and found himself on more than one occasion serving time in prison. He walked through the doors of the Mission ready to change his life. Although he didn’t know where to begin, he was committed toward his goal of recovery and a changed life.
“When I walked up to it, I had to make a decision,” said Erickson. “I seen an old homeless guy and said that just can’t be me.”
Erickson started working at Goodwill while in Phase 3-4 of New Creation, our residential recovery program, and never looked back. As time passed during his time in the program, he was able to give more of himself and serve as an example of what God could do in his life and the lives of others.
