Throughout April, we got to witness some incredible moments across both our Downtown Shelter and The Refuge. Our shelter guests and residential recovery students took meaningful steps of faith through baptism, choosing to publicly declare the new life they’ve found in Jesus.
At the Refuge, some our men in New Creation and women in Renew marked a big moment in their recovery journeys, leaving behind what was and stepping into something completely new. That same kind of transformation was on full display at the Shelter, where 16 of our guests stepped into the water and into new life.
Every story is different, but they all point to the same truth: real change is possible. As 2 Corinthians 5:17 reminds us, “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation…” And that’s exactly what we are seeing here–lives being restored, hope being renewed , and people stepping into the future God has for them.
