Refuge Construction Makes Major Leap Forward

We’ve made tremendous construction progress at our Refuge campus expansion! We began the first phase of the current campus expansion in 2014, and we are scheduled to finish the final phase sometime in 2024. Both our men‘s and women‘s programs have moved into their new or renovated spaces. We are currently midway through construction of our job training and support staff building and our distribution center. If all goes as planned, we’ll have a campus-wide ribbon cutting celebration at the Refuge later this year! Visit to see videos and photos of our progress.

Inflation has drastically impacted construction costs, and we need your help finishing this important project that will expand the reach of John 3:16 Mission. Our Administration and Training Building will provide job training and work experience to our recovery students, in addition to housing our administrative staff. The Distribution Center will significantly increase our capacity to supply all Mission operations, as well as house Mission Goods, which supports those coming out of homelessness.

With your ongoing partnership, we can bring our vision to fruition and make an enduring investment in addressing homelessness and poverty in our Tulsa community, with solutions that are proven to work. Please give today at!
