The end of the year is coming soon and so is the end of construction on the Hardesty Women’s Renew Building at John 3:16 Mission.
Virtually all exterior and interior work is completed and the furniture will soon be installed in the facility. Upon the delivery and installation of some electrical equipment, the building will be ready for occupation. The Mission expects this to happen in January!
The 11,500-square-foot building is immediately adjacent to an existing 40,000-square-foot building that currently houses the Mission’s administrative operations, as well as the women’s recovery and day programs. This building, once renovated, will house the Men’s Recovery Center (for homeless and at-risk men).
Men’s Recovery Center Interior Work Underway
With interior demolition work completed, crews have been installing plumbing, electrical and new bathrooms and showers. When completed, this 40,000-square-foot building will serve as a residential recovery center with beds and program space up to 80 homeless and at-risk men.
Following these projects, the Mission will construct a work training/administrative center and a distribution /donations processing building on the site. These are elements of the Mission’s Restore Capital Campaign that was completed in 2021.
