In March, our Guatemala Mission Trip continued as a growing tradition of service, marking another year at Eagles Nest International in Soloa, Guatemala. This year, we took Family & Youth Center youth made up of both first-time participants and returning students for another week of serving and connecting in Jesus’ name.
Eagles Nest, or Nido del Aguila, is home to children from babies to teens who have experienced abandonment or unsafe living situations. During their week there, our youth jumped right in building relationships through crafts, games, and just spending time with the kids.
They also helped serve the Eagles Nest International surrounding community by helping dig a 50-foot trench and cleaned gutters throughout the city for water during Guatemala’s dry season. This trip helped our students step outside their normal routine, see a different part of the world, and grow in compassion, perspective, and purpose.
