In March, the John 3:16 Mission staff and volunteers extended warmth and compassion to our unsheltered neighbors through the heartwarming event “Everyone’s Birthday.” In a world where many may go unnoticed, this celebration was aimed to bring a sense of significance and joy to those who may never experience the special attention typically associated with birthdays.
Tables were filled with pizza, cake, and ice cream for everyone to enjoy. Each guest received essential items like new socks and hygiene kits. Moreover, the event was not short of surprises, as door prizes ranging from backpacks to bicycles were generously distributed, adding even more excitement to the occasion.
This gathering embodied the spirit of community and compassion, offering a beacon of hope to those who are often marginalized or overlooked in our communities. The “Everyone’s Birthday” celebration served as a powerful reminder that each person is precious to God and deserving of love and celebration. Through initiatives like these, John 3:16 Mission continues to be the hands and feet of Jesus for transformative impact on people.
