In early February, the John 3:16 Mission Family & Youth Center hosted its very first E3 Volunteer Conference, bringing together both new and longtime volunteers for an evening of learning, connection and encouragement. This event was designed to equip our dedicated volunteers with the tools and knowledge needed to serve our children, youth, and community more effectively.
The conference featured informative breakout sessions focused on trauma awareness and de-escalation techniques, led by guest speakers Dr. Barbara Sorrels and PG Goudeau. Their experience and expertise provided invaluable guidance in supporting our children and youth as they navigate difficult circumstances. This, in turn, helps volunteers feel confident and well-prepared in their roles.
We are grateful for everyone who attended and invested their time with us. The E3 Volunteer Conference was just the beginning, and we want to thank you for being a part of our Mission.
