areas to volunteer
Every ministry at John 3:16 Mission uses volunteers to help reach and minister to the homeless and at-risk in our community.
Everyone who comes to John 3:16 Mission is introduced to the love of Christ. Men, women, & children who attend our evening chapel are served a warm meal. Our overnight shelter provides clean clothes, a warm shower, a clean bed, spiritual input, and counseling for men in Tulsa. The Men's Ministry uses volunteers to serve meals, tutor, distribute clothes, speak in chapel, and to help with grounds keeping.
Our Day Center is open daily during the week to provide a safe place for women to escape the elements, receive spiritual guidance, counseling, and life skills educational support. Our Day Center uses volunteers to help in the office, befriend ladies, help with afternoon crafts, and teach bible studies.
The family ministry seeks to minister to the whole family by hosting spiritual, physical, & educational programs for clients. It provides crisis intervention for families in immediate need of food, clothing, and utilities. The family ministry uses volunteers to stock the food pantry, help families shop for clothes in the clothing room, and pass out food baskets to families.
The children's ministry provides a safe place for children to find spiritual and educational guidance. The children's ministry uses volunteers in their after school, creative arts, monthly outreach, and summer educational programs for children in North Tulsa.
The TNT youth group provides a safe place for youth to fellowship, attend bible studies, and find leadership training. The Youth Ministry uses volunteers during their weekly bible studies, open gyms, monthly outreach events, & creative art classes.
Distribution Center & Maintenance Crew:
The two ministry sites daily provide clothing and food for the homeless and at – risk in Tulsa. The Distribution Center uses volunteers to help sort and prepare clothing and food for each ministry location. Our Maintenance Crew uses volunteers in our garden and with special projects around the mission.
